UZ Arts

UZ Events opened in 1994 as a commercial company and closed to become UZ Arts, a charitable company in 2010. In that time, it has commissioned and programmed thousands of artists to perform to an audience of many millions across Scotland and the UK.

UZ has commissioned artwork and productions that have been exhibited or performed in South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, USA and in many countries across Europe. UZ co- founded IN SITU, the European network of festival directors and Sura Medura, the international artist residency centre in Sri Lanka.

Below, a short show reel showing the range of UZ Arts’ work and follow this link for a video of how IN SITU sees UZ Arts.

Meanwhile, the UZ Arts’ website is still live with a selection of projects and festivals from 2010 to 2020.
