1988 • The Tell Tale Heart
I work individually with artists as a mentor and through commissions, residencies and curatorial projects.
In 1988, the Zap was commissioned by London’s South Bank Centre and this gave me the opportunity and budget to create a collaborative piece of work. The Tell Tale Heart was directed and produced by me, and co-directed and devised with Ian Smith. It was a celebration and reinterpretation of Edgar Allen Poe’s short story of the same name. The hit production starred Kathy Acker, Captain Sensible, Roger Ely, Peter Sinclair, the Grand Theatre of Lemming, Liz Aggiss, Billie Cowie, Holly Warburton and Ian Smith.
