Glasgow International, Glasgow’s first, curated and commissioning Festival of Contemporary Visual Art, will take place across the city over twelve days from Thursday 21 April until Monday 2 May, 2005.
Under the curatorship of Francis McKee, curator, writer and a major contributor to the contemporary visual arts scene in Scotland, GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL provides an opportunity for the development and exhibition of some of the world’s most exciting and innovative artists.
Full programme details will be launched at the end of February although we can confirm the programme will include new commissions by Scottish based artists and the opportunity to see major works exhibited for the first time in the UK by international artists. The event partners more than 20 of the city’s leading visual arts venues and the full programme is set to reflect the city’s vibrant cultural scene and international reputation for contemporary visual art.
